hi sheila: i was gonna say i don't eat any bread, but i've recently discovered south beach diet whole wheat crackers. so now i've had a few bags of them (100 cal per). i've also baked up sugar free, whole wheat banana bread with lots of nuts - wicked good. and, i've had the occasional pasta meal - heavy on the meatballs, very little sauce and pasta.
so, to answer your question, i guess i'm eating bread, but being extremely careful about what, when, and how much.
hope that helps.

Hi Sheila,
I haven't even thought about bread! (Did I just say that??)
I think I would be toooo scared to try it.
Sounds like others are handling breads just fine.
Best of luck to you on your journey,
Huggs,
Sharon

I eat bread. If I try the regular white, soft kind it sometimes sits like a lump in my stomach. Toasting it helps.
I had hubby get some frozen dinner rolls and we're having them today. I hope they go down ok.
I can't eat much, of course, but it is nice to be able to choose from any foods.

I do bread very little mostly because it does'nt agree with me too much. I am able to do pasta without much trouble though. But I still try not to eat it very often.
Remember protien first! But I think all things in moderation. My doctor has not excluded any foods other than high fats and refined sugar and fried stuff.
I think some bread in your diet as long as it agrees with you won't hurt. I know for me breads used to be a "trigger" food so that is also a reason I pretty much avoid it. Good Luck what a wonderful journey we are on!!
