Topic: RE: What amazes you?
Sheila,
What a great question!!
I would have to say the way I sit in a chair now. I realized the other day that I sit indian style all the time and never could before.
I have to add another one, last Sunday at church my 8 year old was hugging on me and I realized that his arms were all the way around me!!!
WOWOWOWOWO,,,,I love this tool!!!

Topic: What amazes you?
There are a lot of great things about life after surgery...but is there any particular thing, big or small, that simply amazes you? One of the things that amazes me is how easily I can cross my legs!! Also, when sitting, my arms rest comfortably in my lap; I used to have to clasp my hands to keep my arms in my lap. I think this is great!
Just wondering...what amazes you???

Topic: RE: Warning: Thinning hair and sunburn
Thanks for the advice, only wish I would have read this before my vacation to Florida.
I am now returning from two weeks in the sun and also have sunburn on the top of my quickly thinning hair line. I spend time in the ocean wearing a hat also.
I am sure hoping that this thinning stops soon, I am getting a little nervous as to how much I will actually have left with when it stops!

Topic: RE: 5th Month, How is it going for you?
I know it is frustrating when I compare m'self to others. But think of this: when was the last time you lost 60 lbs in 5 months and kept it off?
You are doing good.

I'm almost down 60 lbs. I am losing really really slow. Many foods still make me sick. However I don't vomit, just dry heave a lot. Other people notice my weight loss more than I do. I've only lost one clothing size. Things are frustrating at times, but I am thrilled that I have managed to lose what I have lost.
Topic: RE: So how war your week?
I've been stuck at -85 lbs for awhile now. I know the scale will move again, it always does, but it's hard to be enthusiastic when the blasted thing won't budge.
I haven't had much of an appetite the last few days. I've been anxious about the surgery I had today, but it went fine and I worried for nothing.
I have trouble taking my calcium pills. I feel like they sit in my stomach for hours. I've ordered some Tropical Oasis liquid calcium and it should be here tomorrow.
I really like my prenatal vitamins (- no, I am not pregnant! The surgeon prescribes them.) They smell and taste like vanilla.

Congratulations, Joe! That is fantastic!
I had a very realistic dream the other night. I tapped my husband on the shoulder and when he turned around I told him I had lost 106 pounds.
I haven't, but the dream seemed so real!
WLS is amazing, isn't it?
