Jennifur,
I had surgery on February 14th and to date I have only lost 63 lbs. I am frantic because I haven't lost a pound for five weeks now!
I think that you are blessed to have lost 88 lbs. I WISH that I was were you are...but I am just glad to have lost something!
I am definately the slowest turtle in this race!

I agree with you Dana. I think we all lose at different paces and as long as it comes off, that's really all that matters. The best thing to do is just stay on track with your eating habits and exercise as much as possible. (I'm no fiend for exercising, but do alot of standing).
I think me and you are losing at about the same rate. I'm minus 78 pounds maybe? I don't get on the scale more than once a week now...

I know I already responded a few days ago, but I had to say...today what AMAZED me was I found my knuckles. They've been missing for so many years. I tend to waive my arms around when I'm talking and today at dinner with the boyfriend, I saw these bumps in my hands from the corner of my eye and at first I didn't even know what they were!
Wow!
Topic: RE: PCP against WLS
Hi Cory,
My primary was dead set against me having surgery but not his PA who was the one providing my care for the last 3 yrs. The PA did my letter and tests and held my hand through all the waiting. The primary told me I looked fine...but he never asked me how I felt though he had my files in front of him. I learned not to let anyone else's negativity get in my way and shushing me would have made me walk. I remember that visit so well..I had been going to that office over a year and never been seen by the primary. One day he just shows up after I had requested a referral for baratric surgery. He tried to me on my hair, clothes and jewelry but never got to the real issue of my abrupt weight gain of nearly 85 lbs in less than a year...how in the world could that be okay? By the end of the visit he write for me to have a consultation but didn't offer me any support but his PA was just wonderful and I thank him every time I see him. When I saw him 3 months ago he was so thrilled to see I was down in weight and just kept saying I made the right decision. I agreed.
