One Whole Friggin' Year!
... and 121 lbs lighter! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!
Some of the things I enjoy now are: Shopping..of course!! Crossing my legs. Wearing high heels. Walking, going up stairs, or playing with my son without feeling so out of breath I think I'm gonna die. Looking in the mirror. Sometimes I'll be looking for so long it's ridiculous. Of course I'm posing this way & that.. Making faces. Or trying to move skin around to give the appearance of a tummy tuck. LOL (maybe that was TMI)
Some of the things I do even though I'm 121 lbs lighter!
Look at a chair to make sure I'm gonna fit. Ask my boyfriend when I'm sitting on his lap if I'm too heavy for him. Umm..what else.. Oh yea, I still look for the "plus size" section when I enter clothing store. Sometimes I'll even find myself going through the clothes for a minute.
What are some of the things to still find yourself doing even after 1 year? Respond and let me know if you want. LOL.
If not, I'll talk to ya later.
Sincerely....
A whole new friggin' ME!!

Happy Anniv! Mines right around the corner! Can you believe the changes we have gone through!? It's been a new and exciting year for sure. I cracked up when I read about the mirror and moving skin. I do it too sweetie, just dreaming about having enough money for a TT. I love to shop, work out, dance, walk, just be out and about in public without being embarrassed. Just the other day my husband had that onery look on his face like he was going to tickle me or something. Without even thinking about it I took off running with him chasing me both of us laughing. The kids thought we had lost it of course but we loved it! They are used to us being silly and lovey but not running through the house chasing each other. It was pretty funny! I love being able to get up and down from the floor without it being a chore. I was working at JC Penney's for the holidays and would apologize because I aught my reflection out of the corner of my eye and thought I had come in the dressing room on someone. By the way I am a blond! HEE HEE
A group of us from my support group went to dinner movie and dancing the other night. Well we were leaving and were squeezing between the little pole and cloth pully thing (kind of baricade line marker thing) that was by the wall. I stopped and had to think about if I could fit between it and the wall. There was plenty of room but I still hesitated.

congrats on the wonderful year, cassandra. it certainly flew by, didn't it?
i still check out chairs, too, to see whether or not they'll hold. (of course, i'm still close to 280 so it's a valid concern)
i went to look at 'regular' size clothes yesterday and, i swear, i thought i was in the children's section cause the clothes looked so small. but, i tried on a xl and it fit!!! talk about excited
i still find myself looking in mirrors alot too. usually i'm trying to remind myself to stand up straighter, but sometimes i actually pause to consider that parts of me don't stick out nearly as much as i did last year.
anyway, girl, thanks for sharing your insights. and congrats, again, on the whole new you.

Cassandra, sorry I'm so late congratulating you on your amazing year. Been out of town and trying to catch up on the boards, can you believe this year has flown by so quickly. It's been an amazing year for many of us and one I'd never change in a million years.
I wish you continued success and happiness, YOU deserve it all.
Hugs,
Dana
