Losing again?!
Just wanted to report, and maybe encourage a few of you! I have been holding steady at 173-175 since Nov. I figured that was about as far as I would go, you know? At least without plastic's to remove skin.
I was following all the rules, taking my vitamins, drinking 10-12 glasses of water everyday and I exercise 5-6 days a week. I have seen 3 plastic surgeons who all said the only excess fat I had left is on my lower tummy, and most likely only a TT would get that off.
Well, in the past week I have lost 6 pounds!!! I have been at 167 for 3 days in a row now. I am unsure what caused this, except I have been busy........and happier........so I think that is it! Plus I realized since I have been busy I dropped my afternoon snack of a power crunch or handfull of peanuts.
So, see? If you have been stalled even for months you can kick your weight loss back in, somehow!
Today is my birthday, I am 46! I have lost 138 pounds from my highest weight. I am going to the plastic surgeon for my pre-op appt today, I have lower body work being done on Feb 23rd.
Isn't this the best thing we ever did for ourselves?!?
Hugs, Susan
BMI is now 26.9!!
Hi Susan
Thanks for posting this...I've been stuck since November too. Up and down the same 2-3 pounds...I saw my surgeon on Monday for my one year follow up and he told me to count my calories and really watch my intake. I've done that for 2 days now and my scale FINALLY went down 1/2 pound this morning. HURRAY
This surgery was absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself (other than marry my wonderful husband 4 yrs ago).
Hurray for us!! Keep up the great job!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Judy
Susan, Happy Birthday to YOU.
Congrats on the scale moving, it's amazing how sometimes just a little change can jumpstart the weight loss again. I love Power Crunch bars also but find them a little higher in carbs and calories than I like so I limit them big time now.
Good luck on the PS, I know you will so excited to begin the process.
Hugs,
Dana
Ok that's really weird. I came to this group to ask about weight loss starting up again, and this was the first post listed!
Ok I haven't really lost any since Oct or Nov. I'm at 153 and I'm 5'5 1/2. Dr's goal was 160 mine was 145. I figured well I'm just done this is where my body wants to be. It seemed it didn't matter if I ate good or bad I stayed the same within 1 or 2 pounds with 153 being the lowest. I felt like I could eat too much but of course no where near what I could before. Well , the last week to week and a half, all the sudden I can't eat as much again. I haven't thrown up since surgery except once from the liquid calcium I tried tasting so bad. I've had foamies from things getting stuck but not throwing up. However atleast twice in the last week or so I have thrown up, and all I can figure is maybe I ate too much or too fast. Now it takes less to fill me up again just like when I was about 4 months out. Like I had 1 taco today and barely finished it, I had been able to eat 2 sometimes or one and a few chips and cheese. I was up to half a shaved turkey sandwich on multi grain now I can only do 1/4. and drum roll please..... I was 151 this morning. First time I've ever hit below 153! I hope this sticks around so I can get to 145. I would love to be able to say I weigh what I did when I got married at 18. Only bad thing is I already bought a bunch of clothes in size 8 to 10. Oh well.... the price we pay for being skinny! HEEHEE!!!

258/151 and losing again maybe.....
Hey Susan, that is great. I'm so glad to see there are several around that are following in this same pattern. I have been very concerned because I haven't lost any weight for over 2 months now, but have lost a few inches. Mainly I feel like a weather system that has gotten stalled and going no where. It was suggested that I'm not eating ENOUGH and to up my calories to 1150-1200. I'm doing that and...I think this just might work believe it or not.
Yes, this IS the best thing I've ever done for myself!
