OT- Prayer Needed
Much prayer is needed for the parents of one of my son's 8-year-old classmates who passed away yesterday. Her name was Emily, and she was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Monday, and passed away Friday. She was a beautiful little girl, and her parent's only child. We live in a small rural community and this has devastated the children that went to school with her. She was my son's partner in reading class. I can't begin to imagine how her parents are going to face the coming days. Please pray for them. And just to let you kow what great people they are...here at Christmas and the time of giving, they donated little Emily's organs so other parents won't have to face what they have.
Thanks!
Sheila
OMG Sheila, I am sitting here with tears in my eyes, I cannot for the life of me imagine what Emily's parents are going through right now and the short time they had to prepare for anything happening. I will keep the parents in my prayers along with your son and his classmates.....this is going to be a difficult time for the kiddos too.
Dana
Thank you Dana, these parents will be in need of many prayers. This child was in school last Friday (the 9th) and one week later she is in Heaven...it's so hard to understand. I found out that when they went to harvest her organs, they were unable to use them as this precious child had cancer ALL through her little body. Her parents are greatful though, that at least she didn't suffer. On Monday she had collapsed at home, and was in a coma until her death. I just got back from her wake service and she looked the picture of health. I know now she is in a better place, and our loss here is Heaven's gain.
Luckily we have a great counselor at the elementary school, who is available to the children should they need her. Sometimes living in a small community has its disadvantages, but in times like these we bond together in support of one another and it is comfort to know there is help when needed.
Thank you again,
Sheila
sheila,
I am sitting here at my lap top crying. I am looking at my 4 year old and i cant stop thinking how luckly I am to have my little one here with me. of corse I will say a prayer for those poor people. They sound like good people to want to do something for someone else even though there heart is breaking.

Thanks for postingl. Prayers goe out to Emily's family. I have worked with children that have cancer, but that is so awful that they had so little time to deal with her disease and death. It is very wonderful that they donated her organs, as there are so many children waiting for transplants. I hope this brings them some peace. I hope that you and your family and community can have a happy holiday season despite the tragedy of Emily's death. Take care. Chris
