scared I'm pregnant

Hi Everyone, I just found out on friday the 28th that I am 6 weeks pregnant. I am so scared, this wasn't suppose to happen. I am only 8 months post op and have 60 more pounds to go. Did this happen to anyone else. Before surgery I was considered infertile. I did get pregnant and have two beutiful children but not without the help of fertility medicine and lots of trying and all of that. This wasn't suppose to happen I'm not ready. I'm in shock. I put a call to my wls doc and hoping he will call me back on monday.. :o(

Tara, try to relax. It isn't recommended that pregnancy happen before 18 months, however, you aren't the only one this has happened to. My WLS buddy got pregnant at 4 months post-op, of course, our surgeon wasn't happy but she is seeing a high risk pregnancy OB/GYN and they are monitoring her closely. So far, everything is fine. It is just imperative that you follow the directions your surgeon and OB/GYN give you. You do need to get in additional noursihment to sustain the babies weight. I know you are not going to like my answer. All I can say if it was me I would have an abortion. For me losing all of my weight I is more important. But that's just me. Plus I've never been thin. So I would love to see what I would look like being skinny. As for you I hope it will turn into good news. If don't then remember you have choses. Don't let anyone make you feel bad no matter what you choose. Good luck.
