Help, I am going to take a trip to the Grand Canyon & Los Vegas. I'm nervous about getting in all my protien for the day? I am taking bars with me and I don't want to take shakes with me. I know what I need to eat, protien first. I guess this is just getting me out of my routine that I have built since surgery. I am doing well with what I am eating and I am afraid I'll mess up this wonderful weight loss. I leave early thurs. morning. Thanks for your help. deb k

This is what I did when I went to the Mt. I measured out bags of powder and put them in my bag. And when I went to the store I got a bottled water and just added it to that. I worked out good for me. but if you really dont want to take that powder. I think that the bars would be fine. thanks faith 389/245/???

I haven't been on a "real" vacation since surgery. But I have taken a few weekend trips, but they were by car. I took a small, soft cooler with me to keep water, Hawaiin Punch lite and my milk I drink. Then I made up protien powder scoops in snack baggies, which I add to the HP and Milk. That way I had what I needed. I find when I am away like that I have a harder time keeping to my water like I should. I just get so busy and occupied! I do my best to keep my protein up, though. Plus I figure if my calories dip low a couple of days it can't hurt me! As long as my water and protein stay high. Hope you have lots of fun! I love to travel. Hugs, Susan 298/179/150-160

I actually went on vacation to Las Vegas in August, I was there for 8 days. I fortunately had a timeshare, with a kitchen, so I went to the supermarket, spent $20 on food, and lived it up for a week. Protein is all over the place, order a sandwich, only eat the protein...stop and get a yogurt at a cafe in a casino, bring a tuna packet-the ones w/o water, open it up, enjoy. Don't be afraid to throw things out...I am such a food waster now.

In Sept I went for a week to Niagara Falls, Canada. I arranged for a refridgerator in the motel room in advance, so I was able to keep a supply of cheese and meat packets (instant protein) available. Other than that, my vacation was pretty "normal." Oh yeah, I carried my bottle of water with me everywhere too. I hope you have a wonderful time. Take care! Sperky
