Neuropathy

Has anyone experienced any problems with neuropathy in the hands or feet? I had a nerve conduction study done today and they told me i have a pinched nerve on the sides of both knees (in the same spot on both legs...weird) and i have neuropathy in my feet. It could be from having diabetes for 11 years (they said that was doubtful though) or a B12 deficiency. I'm hoping it's just the B12. Has anyone else had this problem or had a B12 deficiency??

Steph, I was having signs of neuropathy in my legs and feet, especially my right side. My surgeon recommended I take B-1 and B-12 sublingual daily and monitor the symptoms a few days, within 1 week all signs were gone, which says yes I had B vitamin deficiency. Are you supplementing with B vitamins? Neuropathy seems to be more common than I originally researched. Don't play with this, start supplementing today, you cannot overdose on B vitamins, they are water soluable and what your body doesn't use is passed through urination. Sorry I didn't post sooner, I was out of town and not close to a computer. Dana

Dana, I do take a B Complex daily and I take the sublingual b12 three times a week. i'm going to start taking the b12 daily then and see how that works. i figured i'd ask my doctor to do some blood work and test my b12 before i get too freaked out about it. thanks for the advise. Steph 350/174/165

Steph, I take 2 B-12 (500 mg each) Sublinguals a day, I also take a B-1 vitamin (250 mg) and a Super B Complex (?? mg). It won't hurt you, up your dosage and see if it helps. Not trying to scare you but neuropathy isn't always reverseable so take care of it soon. Dana
