Update on me
Well, where to begin, it has been approximately 7 1/2 months since surgery, open DS. I am down 90 pounds and 58 3/4 inches. (Most of it around the waist). I have TONS of energy! Yesterday I cleaned from the time I got up until about 2 hours before bedtime. My apartment has never looked so good! I have NO trouble walking long distances (for example, I work at 3M, you have to walk two miles usually to get to your destination). I had to finally break down and do some clothes shopping for work (I tried to put it off as long as I could, but I was running out of clothes that fit ) I am able to shop in the "misses" instead of the "pluses" finally! I am only down to an 18, but that is a far cry from the 4X / 32's I was wearing! I just now, need to work on getting my tummy flatter.
I have had zero complications, I can eat anything I want. It seems that steak is the staple of my diet, but thats okay. My biggest problem is, somedays I think I can eat too much. Sometimes I can eat a 6 oz steak, potatoes and veggies without any problem. But, as long as the tape measure and the scale continue to move, I won't worry about it! I don't count carbs, calories, or fats. Anyway, good luck to my surgery brothers and sisters, I wish you as well as I am doing!

way to go pat!! doesn't it feel good to be in the misses sizes?? i went shopping with my mom the other day and the store we love has plus on one side and misses/junior on the other side of the store. i told my mom i get to cross over to the "other side" now....we were both so excited!! this surgery is so great and like yourself i've had no problems at all.
