how often do you weigh yourself?
i was just curious how often you all weigh yourselves....i seem to have an obsession about weighing myself. my friend jen weighs in once a week and i can't seem to stay off the scale. i think it makes me frustrated more when i weigh everyday..i even put the scale away so i wouldn't see it and feel the need to get on it. well that didn't work because i just got the scale out everyday instead. i don't know why i'm so obsessed with the freaking scale. SO how often does everyone else weigh in???

I try to do it once a week, BUT like you I have an obsession with the scale, I am scare of gainning weight so I feel like I have to do it everyday, even though I know is not good because it gets me very frustated when I see that I gain and then loose and then gain again.
I think I'll try your idea of putting the scale away I'll ask my husband to hide the scale and bring it out only on Mondays.

I weigh every morning. Of course it is right before I step into the shower and before breakfast. I make sure the scale is in the same spot on the tile floor because it weighs a little different if it isn't. I guess the floor is uneven or I'm just an obsesive compulsive freak! Yeah maybe that's it! LOL It does get me down sometimes but I've gotten used to the fact that I usually lose a few pounds then fluctuate with it for a few days or even weeks before it becomes permanent so I don't get to upset about the ups I just count it as closer to it being permanently gone.

9 pounds to go!!!!!!!!!
I am obsessed. I weigh 5 times a day. I seriously have a problem with it. Its starting to scare me a little. I just cant stay away from it.
I'm actually starting to get a little scared of losing too much weight though. I never thought Id have that problem. My doc only wanted me to lose 10 more pounds 15 max 5 pounds ago, and I'm still losing roughly 10 pounds a month. In 6 more pounds I'll have a normal bmi, but I'm already wearing 6s pants and medium shirts. I'm looking good now, but if I lose much more I'm going to look too thin.
I know I need to just toss the scale, but I cant. I guess I traded my obsession with food for being a scale junkie. I look at it this way - It could be worse I could be addicted to other things. At least the scale wont harm my body.
By the way - You are doing fantasic! You look so wonderful! We'll all be at goal before we know it. What an amazing ride this has been.

Hi Steph, I'm with Krystal on this one, I AM TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH THE SCALE, and I weigh at least 3 times a day. I have had some times that I get upset but I realize the closer we get to our goal the SLOWER the weight comes off. My husband tried to hide it from me and I threatened to go buy another one so he left it .
We will see some flucuation but remember it has a lot to do with salt and water weight we retain for the most part. As long as we eat healthy meals and remember the pouch rules, we will be successful. Don't fret, you are doing awesome and you will make your goal.

too many times!!! I am beginning to get crazy with it!! I knwo that my weight changes throughout the day but i still have to step on the scale a few times!! ARghhhhhhhhhhhhh...and the funny thing is, my home scale is at least 5 lbs heavier than the docs scale, which is the one that i take my official weight form!!

my scale is 5 pounds lighter than the doctor's scale...so i always tell him to go with what my scale says!! :ha ha:
i'm so excited though the scale finally started moving again!! woo hoo...must be the great advice about adding more protein but i've lost 2 pounds in 2 days. and i'm 6 pounds away from my next goal which is to weigh less than my friend jen. wooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo!!

I weigh every day, but I don't beat myself up for what I see. (unless I am really bad and deserve it.) Weight fluctuates with the time of day, your intake, your clothes, etc, and you can't fladulate yourself over one pound. Also you have to understand that we are 7 mos out. The honeymoon is over, and we have to work harder now, but it will still come off. Don't be too hard on yourself if you weigh every day.

I rarely weigh myself. I usually just wait until a doctor/surgeon appt and find out then. I used to be so obsessed with weighing myself but now I just dont care anymore, I just want to be 'normal' again. I hide my scale under my bed anyway so I dont have to see it.
