Hi everyone I was 5 months out on the 21st and I have lost 88lbs since surgery and 103 from highest I lost some before surgery. I was wondering if this is about normal can anyone give me any input. I have a friend that has lost over 100lbs since surgery and mine is a lot slower. Is there anyone else that the weight is coming off slow. Thanks Jennifur

Hi, my surgery was on the 23, and it is going super slow now, I started at 280 and now I am bouncing back between 203-205, it wont budge, I would really love to get under 200, But I am happy with the weight loss, I have to start excersising more regular, its just been so hot I havent felt like it. Sometimes I wonder if this is all the weight that I will lose???

Jennifer, you are not losing slow hun, you are doing great. I had surgery the same day as you, I've lost 103 lbs since Janaury 14th and 82 since surgery date. We are on the same track and I don't consider myself a slow loser and neither does my surgeon. Congrats on a wonderful job! Dana Lap RNY 2-21-05 260/239/157/130??

I agree with you Dana. I think we all lose at different paces and as long as it comes off, that's really all that matters. The best thing to do is just stay on track with your eating habits and exercise as much as possible. (I'm no fiend for exercising, but do alot of standing). I think me and you are losing at about the same rate. I'm minus 78 pounds maybe? I don't get on the scale more than once a week now... Well you are doing better then I am I had surgery Feb 10th at 284, and today I weigh 202 for 82# lost - it's easy to try to compare yourself to others but we each lose at our own pace. Grats on your loss ! Kia 284/202/155

I'm stuck again at -85 lubs. I know I do this, I've done it since the beginning, but it still gives me the creeps. *kicks scale again* There is NO WAY we aren't going to lose more. My tummy only holds about 5 ounces and your pouch doesn't hold that much, I'm guessing. We also have the malabsorption going on, so we have to lose. Patience. Anyone have any extra hanging around for us to borrow? Jeanie Duodenal Switch 02/12/05 -85 big lubs Unable to exercise but look out when I am able!

My weight is coming off slow, had surgery 2/23 and have lost 58 pounds and a total of 70 since jan., now I think that is pretty slow and I sometimes wonder if that is all for me. I have 49 pounds to go.

Hi Jennifur. I understand how you feel. I've only lost 66 lbs since my surgery on Feb 3rd. I just recently had a 3 week stall. I was so frustrated. I was always a slow loser, I guess surgery didn't change that. Congrats on the weight loss though. Just remember, even if it's slow, at least we're losing! Take care. Steph 300/234/165?

Jennifur, I had surgery on February 14th and to date I have only lost 63 lbs. I am frantic because I haven't lost a pound for five weeks now! I think that you are blessed to have lost 88 lbs. I WISH that I was were you are...but I am just glad to have lost something! I am definately the slowest turtle in this race!
