I haven't posted in a while as I have been out living my new life with this wonderful tool (and my job has been crazy)anyway, I have been at the same weight for 3 weeks. I am going crazy trying to get off this plateau. I have been eating protein first, drinking water, taking vits., eating protein bar(s) and exercising at the YMCA every day (5-6 days a week) What am I doing wrong???? Don't get me wrong I am so happy to be down from a tight size 22 to a 12/14 but I don't want to stop now. Please, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Sharon 212/162/???

Sharon, I know it is hard, but try to be patient. I have hit a few plateaus along the way....one for close to three weeks, but then I started dropping like crazy. Sometimes I think that it is just the body's way of catching up! As long as you are following your program, try not to worry about the weight. In fact, even when I was stuck at the same weight, I could tell my body was changing by the way my clothes were fitting. Good luck....I am sending good vibes your way!

Thanks Julie, Patience is NOT one of my virtues! I know deep down that I am doing the right things, but gosh you hate stepping on the scale week after week and see the same number. Thanks for the "good vibes" I needed the pick me up. Huggs, Sharon

Sharon, it looks like you are following the program. Try not to stress out by the scale, unfortunately we have to deal with these stalls. Have you taken your measurements? I would suspect that although the scale isn't showing you the numbers you want, the inches are melting away. Stay positive, you are doing great! Dana Lap RNY 2-21-05 260/239/171.2/130

A lot of people from FEB are having a plateau now. I had one, and broke it by going liquid for 5 days. Go liquid for 3-5 days, and see if that helps. Just a sugguestion. Robin 315/227/160

Hang in there. I think we've all been there. It will change. I like to watch the scale too becuase it gives me more black and white re****s. So when it isn't changing I go to the measuring tape for those black and white results. How many inches have you lost recently?

Sharon, Don't stress it. I plateaued for nearly 3.5 weeks! It's frustrating. Just think though, it will eventually come off...PLUS SOME! I was stuck at 180 lbs forever, but that seems to be the weight that my body is comfortable at. Before I knew it, I dropped 10 lbs in just under 11 days! That's after losing nothing for 3.5 weeks. It will surprise you when it happens. Just get off the scale. 5'3" pre 237 lbs pants 18/20(20/22, just in denial about it!) shirt 3XL post 172 lbs pants 14 shirt M to XL Lap Last rny 2.16.05 Dr. Nazarian F.A.C.S. 237/172/115...that's what both my sisters weight anyway!
