1st BIG WOW moment

OK... yesterday I had my very first big WOW moment. I'm about 4 month post-op and have lost about 64 lbs which I think is fabulous. At my top weight of 277 I had NO energy and would come home from work each day and go directly to my recliner. Most days I didn't even feel like cooking dinner (poor hubby). Each time I went to the grocery store I wondered if on the next trip I would require the assistance on one of their scooters. By the time I walked the aisles I was pooped. Well yesterday after working all day I went to the gym and worked out about 2 hours. That in itself is great! Well due to my DH working 12-16 hours a day lately and a lot of rain our grass had grown to about a foot high. So when I got home from the gym my DH was still at work. I couldn't bear the sight of our grass any longer so I started mowing! It took me about 1 ½ hours and I was exhausted when I finished, but I did it! I'm so grateful for this surgery! All you pre-ops out there that are still fighting for approval say strong and don't give up. It took me about 2 years to get approval. Oh well, though I'd share my success. Gratefully, Janice

Congratulations on your wow moment! Aren't those GREAT? It's like a reaffirmation of why we did this surgery Kia 284/211/155 ish

That's great! And you'll have until the grass grows out again to admire and remember your wow moment.

Congratulations on the 64 lbs. and so much more energy. It's so much fun to do things you couldn't do or had trouble doing before surgery. Mary
