4 Months
Wow, what a journey this has been. I had the DS in February, a hernia repair in April, and removal of the mesh and treatment for infection in June. I've lost 75 lbs.
I'm still fighting the infection and have an open incision on my abdomen that will hopefully heal up in a few weeks.
How are the rest of you doing?

Hi I went to my doctor yesterday I am 4 months out the 15th and I am down 85lbs.!!!!!! I am so happy... the nurse who called me back into the office said she thought I was about 2 yrs. out the way I looked!! That made me feel good. They told me my blood work was good too. Stay on top of your vitamins! I need a little more protien but it will come. She told me about a new one the GNC has it's cookies and cream....sounds kinda good. Hang in there you will get healed up and hopefully you won't have any more complications God Bless You!! Have a great day!!!!....Christy......Oh and 75lbs. is WONDERFUL!!!
Hi Everyone,
I had my four month anniversary last Friday. I feel great. I am so proud of myself for getting all of my vitamins in each day and usually get all of my water in each day. I haven't been sick in weeks.. If I weren't stuck on this plateau for the last 5 weeks (no weight or inches lost) I would be in heaven. It's so nice getting full faster than anyone else at the table. My 2 year old daughter out eats me most meals, unless I am eating salad. Who would have ever thunk it.

Hi Everyone, Isn't this surgery absolutely amazing? I'm 4 mos post op on 6/16/05 and am down almost 100 lbs. I'll find out when I weigh in today. I feel great, have more energy than I know what to do with, sleep well, and am out there living life to the fullest. I'm sure it will just get better as I lose more. Congratulations to all of you "February Losers." You're doing a great job. Aren't you ever so glad that you made this decision? I sure am. Take care, Karen
