Do I have the ugliest mug or what?
Lol I was just trying to liven up the board a bit. I am on a 2 week stall now and it is driving me nuts!
I actually picked the WORST possible headshot of me to go along with my posts because I am quirky and wanted a more dramatic before shot for when I look really great (maybe in another year or so lol). Anyway if you want to see me from about 1 month ago, you can check out my profile. I had hubby take a shot of me dressed up to give my final 7.5 minute speech for my Public Speaking class I took last semester. I really should take another picture to keep things current. Perhaps I will ! I went shopping at Walmart yesterday and bought 3 tee shirts and 3 pairs of stretch capris size 18-20
That was an eye opener that I was able to fit into that !
How are the rest of you Feb losers doin? Hope you are not stuck like I am! Fill me in! Have you been getting in protein and water? Exercise? I wanna know!
great smile - lights up your whole face!
I'm just a little over 3 months out - getting in my water and exercise, but could be doing better with my protein. I am finding that I really stall if I am not exercising. Some food issues, in that I keep wanting stuff I shouldn't have and eating carbs that are not doing me any good nutritionally. I may go back to the therapist that I saw before my surgery to help work on the head hunger.
I've lost 45 pounds and down about 3 pant sizes - can't complain about that!
keep up the good work!
Pat
Dang Pat you are doing GOOD! (I had replied to you right off the bat then the post poofed) Anyway I wanted to reply that I too have head hunger that drives me nuts sometimes. About once a week right after I finish a meal even, I will get a craving for more food - and I know I am not hungry
You keep up the good work too
Kia
not, so not an ugly pic. good strategy, though. i'm a feb loser, too. but reading the other posts, i'm only doing ok. i have no problem with getting in enough water but am only beginning with my exercise - have some issues with my feet and leg i'm working on. and definitely having to work on the protein thing. i try really hard, but the shakes just don't taste so great to me.
i'm not really stuck, either, but i'm not reallly weighing myself since the scale didn't agree with the dr's last time i was in for a follow up. LOL so i'm just trying my best and will have to let the chips fall where they may.
keep it up.
dorthe
I like your strategy, dorthe, about not weighing yourself but I think I am addicted to my scale now like I was addicted to chocolate before the surgery lol. I too cannot stand protein shakes. I basically have given up on them completely and try to get my protein in my foods. Infact, I think I have a new favorite! I got a Taco Bell salad bowl yesterday and only ate the insides (not the shell). I wasn't able to eat all of it, but man was that yummy! I have to go out again today for a routine doc appt. and I think I am going to snag me another one ;)
Stop that! Seriously you are gonna make me blush ;)
You aren't looking that bad yourself! I think that as Feb postops we are beginning to see this change - well before I knew I felt lighter, and I had dropped some sizes of course, but I really wasn't feeling all that much different, nor was I seeing it in my mirror, but I am starting to notice now Keep up the good work too, Helen!
I think you look damn good, girl! I want you to know that I can relate to the plateau. I seem like a lose good for a few weeks...then stay the same for a week or two. Yesterday, I finally broke through another one....yay!!!!! It gets frustrating to see the scale stay the same. Just keep the faith....
Good luck!
