Almost 3 months out! -39lbs
Hi CAssandra,
I know how you feel! I had my surgery on 2/7/05 and have lost only 35 pounds. I read about all the great losses and it's hard not to feel discouraged. I feel I'm doing everything righ****er; protein - but it's coming off so slowly. Guess everyone is different and we shouldn't compare. Just hang in there and keep doing what we're supposed to be doing. It does help to know we are not alone and there are other slow losers.
Best wishes

I am 11 weeks now. Last week I was down 40 lbs and was very discouraged. So, I kicked myself in the butt and went to the gym 4 times last week. I really had not been working out at all and I realized that I was going to have to do some of the work in order to catch up to everyone else's success. I lost 5 lbs last week, which is great considering how slow I have been losing. I had my surgery on 2/18.
I met my first goal of getting below 200 lbs and am half way to my final goal of 150 lbs.
Go to the gym if you don't already & watch those pounds melt off! Good Luck!

Mine was on 2/23 I'm down 49 pounds . One thing I've really noticed is the inches. If you didn't take measurements when you started do so now. Then when you are feeling down measure again. I seem to lose inches and no pounds for a week or two at a time then I'll lose a pound or two then back to inches. It gives you more to look at. When I went to my 2 month follow up my Dr told me I wasn't eating enough and that I would have lost more if I would up my calories it seems to be working on the days I can actually do it. I had read that before on here but nobody mentioned how many calories they were getting and what to up it too. I was getting anywhere from 400 to 800 a day and she said to try for 1200 no way but I'm trying. It is getting easier though as time goes on. Good Luck.
