I have had this surgery since feb 16th..I eat very little a day....make pretty healthy food choices....try to stay active....don't snack....and am losing about 2.5 lbs a week...I think? Both my sisters who weigh in at 115 and 116 (now 112 and 113) have lost 3 lbs EACH in just under 2 weeks...how the h3ll is that PoSSiBlE?! Man! My sisters say their on a "diet" yet I see them munching on cheddar cheese goldfish, butter-lovers buttery popcorn, snickers, pizza, fried chicken every friggin day! Can you say ARGH!!!??? I just have to vent...sorry. I eat one french fry and I blow up like a BALLOON!

i've been wondering what my problem have been too with not losing as fast as i thought i would. i thought i read on the main messageboard that if you don't eat enough calories you won't lose either. and i've recently added about another 100 calories a day and another mile to my walk so i walk 4 miles a day and lift light weights for about 30 minutes a day 6 days a week and still have only lost 68 pounds since surgery. maybe you should up the calories and activities a little.

hi: sounds like you're doing really well, to me. 2.5 pounds a week is great. and i know what you mean about people who can eat ANYTHING and still be so thin. some day they'll figure out metabolism and weight issues will be a thing of the past. in the meantime. come, vent, and feel better anytime you want. until next time, take care. dorthe

I am about 3 months out and only down 37 pounds, despite an hour of cardio and eating well. Sigh ...... Ruth

Lots of water, make sure you get plenty of protein and some exercise. If you don't get in enough calories your body will go into starvation mode. Bu****er is the most important... it's how fat gets out of your body (you pee it out). Hugs, Susi
