It feels so good!!
I just wanted to say that I am so glad that OH has put together a message board for the month and year you had your surgery.
I was all feeling sad and upset that I was not doing something right. I have been so upset, I was almost in tears talking to my mom about it yesterday. I have not lost one pound in 3 weeks! I got to 239, then I lost to 238, then 239, then 238, then 239....what the heck!!! It is enough to drive anyone to drinking ! Then I got on our board tonight and saw the post where others are stuck in the same rut that I am in. I was reading all the post and I know it is not funny, but I laughed. I laughed to know that I was normal, and you are too! I was thinking that mostly EVERYONE who has had WLS has been at 2 or 3 months out went through the same "I'm STUCK" phase. It feels good to know there are people, your friends, out there who are going through the same thing as you. And that it is not soo bad! ANd as the old saying goes, "And this too, shall pass"!
I love you all and keep up the good work!
Love your friend and OH sister,
Christina
P.S. I have really been looking at my message board picture....now that is something to cry about!! I look awful! Thank you jesus for WLS and HAIR DYE!!
Hi Christina,
We had WLS on the same day!!!
I thank God every day for this wonderful tool.
Yes, we have all been comparing notes on loses and being stuck, so you will fit right in...
This is a great place to come when you are wondering if you are "normal" we all seem to be having the same successes and trials.
Glad your here,
Sharon
Hello!
I must say I am very glad that I came to this board today. I have been feeling pretty psychotic lately. I went to my monthly support group the other day and 2 of the girls have lost a ton of weight. 60+ pounds and I've lost 43. I was thinking how great they looked and how fat I still am. I feel guilty when I eat. I'm only eating around 800 calories a day. I didn't lose any weight for about 3 weeks. I totally feel like I am doing something wrong. I walk 2 miles almost every day. I don't get hungry but I dealt with my first real "PMS" since surgery. Last month I was on mush and dealing with the after affects of surgery so I didn't go through the craving stage. I felt guilty having 3 pretzels. 6 months ago I would have eaten a large bag of Doritos with Diet Pepsi in one PMS frenzy.
My nutritionist does not recommend a carb free life style. She said we need them for energy. But the more I read here I feel guilty about having 1/2 slice of whole wheat toast.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one dealing with some crazy emotions lately. Well, thanks for listening!
Maura (-62 pounds since December)
