How much have you lost???
I'm 10 weeks out and have lost 45 lbs. Have gone down from a 24 to a 22. How the hell did you go down so many sizes?!?! Please tell me you are short and that's why 35lbs made such a difference for you!!
I bounce between being happy with the loss so far and wishing I would lose faster! But overall, I know I never could have done this without WLS, so I'm happy with the progress.
I have not "really" been exercising. I've been more active, doing some walking, etc., but have not been faithfully getting in tough workouts. Need to do that!!!!

Marie, as to your question on going down in sizes, I'm not sure how tall Tx. pepper is but I'm 5'1" and I do think being shorter made the sizes go down quicker.
Your loss is wonderful. Not flaming you but get the exercise in if you can find time, it helps alllloooottttt. I mostly walk and ride my bike and I can see some toning, even in the tummy area. I need to get some upper body workout going, thats going to be my next goal. The ole arms are looking pretty nasty.

I'm 9 1/2 weeks out, have lost 53 pounds and 55 inches. However, my clothing sizes haven't changed drastically like some of y'alls. I was in a 26, and now I'm mostly in 24's, some 22 tops - all depends on the brand, cut, etc. I need to start exercising - I know, I know - flame me all you want - I deserve it - but I haven't exercised at all yet. Just haven't had the time to fit it in. I'm a teacher, I was one of the prom planners, and I also sponsor the JV cheerleaders, so that is kicking into high gear now - I'm gonna start working out with them on the days that we practice - hopefully that will help me out!

hello sharon:
surgery was on the 8th of february so i'm about 10 weeks out. i've lost approx 60 pounds and my scale has been stuck for about a week now. not too sure about the size though. it really depends on how the size runs and how tightly i want to wear my clothes that day. LOL was a snug 30/32, though. now i am comfortably in dressy 28's.
thanks for the question, though. it's always good to read how everything's going for everyone else.
have a great week.

Hi Dorothy, you and I have the same birthday (as some of us like to call it in the weight loss community). I had my surgery on Feb 8th 2005 as well. I am 10 weeks post op and so far, I am 59.5 pounds lighter. I have been at 190 for a week and a half now. If I don't see this darn scale move by next week, I am going to scream. I am not too concerned as I am starting my cycle so I do expect at drop after it is all over with. As for size in clothes, I have drop about 2.5 dress sized and I am happy. I go to Curves on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursdays, I walk a 3.5 mile lake and in the afternoons, I go to a different gym (free gym) and do the bicycle for 15 minutes and then the treadmill for 15 minutes - on Saturdays, I go to this same gym. Basically, I do get 6 days of workout ranging from a minimum of 30 minutes on the Tuesdays and Thursdays but on the other days, I get an hour in.
So far, all is well. I had my surgery performed at Kaiser in Richmond California by Dr. Park and assisted by Dr. Baggs done LAP RNY.
Would love to make friends with you guys. I can be reached by emailing [email protected].
Take care and hang in there.
