I was wondering if anyone could tell me what you eat in a typical day. I'm getting bored with my menu choices so I'm curious to see what others eat in a day, such as breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Any help would be great. Thanks Holley

i usually have 1/2 cup oatmeal for bkfst. i have sf pudding around 10. then around 1 i have another small 'meal'. i try to make it protein of some sort. cheese, cottage cheese, lunch meat, nuts, -about 3 ozs., by the time supper comes around i get another protein 'meal', the meat portion of whatever is for supper. the beef frrom the stew, the chicken but not the potatoes or stuffing, the hamburger from the hamburger helper., you get the idea. if i feel like a snack i'll have sf fudgsicle, popsicles, nuts, whatever sounds good,, just 2 -3 ozs. there have been a few times now where i've tried something i just couldn't handle. yesterday it was a brat. but it's all part of the learning curve and i try to get it right the next time, and the next time, etc...AND LOTS OF WATER. hope that helped. dorthe

I've been having about 2 oz of cottage cheese and 1 oz of canned 'lite' fruit for breakfast...no snack but drink an 8 oz protein shake later in the day. For lunch last week I had 2 oz imitation crab stick and 1 oz cooked carrots...no snack just crystal lite in the afternoon. And then for dinner I try for 2 oz protein and 1 oz veggies. Although I am now finding I am getting hungrier and can eat a little more than the 3 oz...I hope that is normal. Donna

Every morning I have a protein shake in the car on my way to work that has 15-20 gms protein Morning snack, 8oz of Chocolate CarbCountdown for 12gms protein, or a piece of string cheese or a carb control yogurt. Lunch, I take one of the Lean Cuisines or Smart ones that are carb control, they usually contain just meat and a veggie. of course I cant eat the whole thing, but it is convenient and the meat is really tender and usually has some sauce to get it down easy. These have 15-22gms protein. Afternoon snack, 8oz of Choc CarbCountdown for 12gms protein, or a piece of string cheese or a carb control yogurt. Dinner, I ususally have whatever my husband is having, but much less and with no pasta, rice, bread or lettuce. Things I have are 1/3c shrimp fettucine with no pasta, 1/3c spaghetti sauce no pasta, 1/4c ground taco meat with melted cheese and sour cream and a couple of spoons of refried beans, a grilled chicken tender and a few cooked carrots. Night time snack, a low carb ice cream bar, sugar free choc pudding, or if I havent had enough protein during the day another protein shake or sometimes I will have a V8. And all throughout the day I drink water in between the eating. I usually get in 60-70oz water plus the liquid from protein shakes, carbcountdown and V8's. Kelly S
