Hey, you Feb 15er's!
Hey y'all. I'm doing pretty good. I feel pretty good. Like most, I wish the weight would come off a little faster. My doc says I'm ahead of the curve though on weightloss. Doc never gave me a number goal, but said he'd be happy if I lost 50% of the excess weight. So in all I'm down 39 from the weight my doc has as my preop weight. 34 from day of surgery. And 45 from all time highest weight. I have no problems getting my fluids in. Protein-I'm still working on it. I have a hard time with meats, especially chicken, pork, and hamburger. I still occasionally eat too fast and food comes back up. I have no structured exercise program, but am constantly on the go with my four kids, school, and work. I hope everyone is doing well.
Hey guys! I'm sooo sorry that I'm posting so late but I just saw this posting now. How is everyone! I hope you are all well. Now as far as this post is concerned I'm down 50lbs.! Did I say 50 lbs.!, Yes I believe I did, as of the day of surgery plus four lbs. prior making it a grand total of 54! God has been good to me I'm off all my medications since surgery: three blood presure pills, a high dosed cholesterol pill, and a diabetic pill. I still can't believe it! I walk three miles EVERY DAY rain or shine! As far as food is concerned is where my problems begin. The food I can eat is very limited and the quantity is small so I'm taking in too little calories like 400 cal. including my two protein shakes. I'm scared my body wil be in starvation mode so I upped the shakes to three a day to insure my protein intake and increase the amount of calories. I can eat wheatina, peanut butter, yogurt, sometimes tuna, cheese, wheat crackers. madarine oranges, apple sauce, and that's about it, oh yeah chicken sometimes. It's like the first bite my stomach starts to cramp up and the second bite I get uncomfortable if I forc a third or fourth bite it's back up to haunt me! Oh I do eat turkey meatballs..only can manage half most of the time, if I can eat the whole thing I feel blessed! I told my doctor and he says as long as I feel good it's okay. I think his nuts cause that doesn't seem enough and if I compare it to you all I know I'm not up to parr. He said as long as I get in at least 60 grams of protein he'll be happy. He said I should be getting 60-80 grams of protein and 800 calories but when I explained I get 400 cal. only he said he doesn't care as long as I get that protein in. We'll see, maybe my pouch needs more time. The inches I'm losing are unbelievable,I've been taking measurements and picture each month so I can see the progress. It's nice to hear from all our 2/15ner's, all take care and God bless each one of us! ~~Sandy~~
