4 weeks Exactly..and still...Nothing!

I'm sure you all are getting tired of my whining and complaining, but I just have to tell people who understand. Anyway...my last post-op appointment was 3-4-05. I weighed 265. Now.. here it is 4-7-05 & I still weigh 265 exactly. Not even 1 pound less. I have an appointment next Friday and I'm so scared. I don't know what the doctors going to say or think about that. When I tell him I'm really not eating things I'm not suppose to. Or that I am drinking all my liquids & such things.... will he believe me? anyways...just thought I would vent. Cassandra, You should be proud, young lady, you're not a failure! You had this beautiful surgery and will continue losing. Like you, I'm on a plateau right now. Maybe it's just the easy stuff that comes off so fast, but I'm bound and determined to keep exercising, eating right, drinking right, taking my vitamins and everything else they told me to do. I'm a stubborn ole cuss, and it's NOT gonna get the best of me. Don't let it get you down either. Be stubborn!!! Joe Open RNY 2/23/2005 412/366/???

Hey Cassandra, I am sorry sweetie that you havent lost any weight...but please dont feel like a failure- it will get better I promise. Are you drinking your protein and if so how much protein do you get in a day? My surgeon told me to increase protein and fluids. I have- and I am losing about 2-3lbs a week. Not a great increase- but INCREASE. I know I need to exercise more and I would probably drop more lbs...but I admit it...I AM LAZY AS HELL Do you have a dietitian or nutritionist? If so, ask them for their advice. They should help you with this problem... If I hear of anything that may move that plateau ouf of your life- I promise I will share it immediately. You are gonna loose..it's just slow and I hear slow lost is good. Stay patient. Brigitte
