I am new to this site, and have never done this before. But I have never had a surgery like this one. I am almost at the six week mark and I am looking forward to my next menu change, I'm still on blended foods, mostly chicken and refried beans & cheese. I have not been hungery but I love the smell of food and love to watch the food channel. Isn't that a laugh before surgery I would be eating all the time. Again thank you all for sharing it does help me. Debbie K.

Hi Debbie K. I'm a Debbie K. also. lol I'm almost 8 weeks post-op now. I've been eating regular food for a few weeks now. All our doctors seem to have different ideas huh? I too love the food network channel. I watch it all day usually. :0) stupid I know but I get bored and maybe someday I'll start cooking again? lol Good luck with your journey. Debbie

Hi Debbie I am new to this board and had my surgery 1 day after you. I read your profile and we have a little in common. I also am looking 50 in the eye and told myself they I have been heavy long enough and it was time to do something drastic. I am so happy I had the surgery. How much have you lost since surgery?

hi girl: welcome to the site. i was gone for a few days but then found out how to get back to this specific community page. it had been coming up on my page automatically and for some reason no longer is. so i wrote and asked and they told me where to go. lol. actually i've also been considering cooking again. now that i no longer feel the need to eat all the time i think i could enjoy the making of it again. hope you have a great day. take care dorthe
