6 weeks post-op and finally today..

Hello everyone, I am soo excited. For the past 3 weeks I had lost a total of maybe 3 lbs. I got on the scale this morning and since Monday I have lost 6 lbs, wooo hooo. It feels great. I upped my water (still can't get in 64 oz. though, I'm so full) and started eating a little more each meal and bam it worked. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Dana

WoooHooo you go girl!!! That's awesome.... Keep up the great work. I know the water is so hard to get in, I struggle with that everyday.... Good luck to you, Sharon

Congrats! I am trying real hard to get tons of protein and water and mainly, not throw up everything. I've lost 2 lbs since Tuesday, so I'll have to catch up Cara RNY 2/15/2005 341/306

Cara you doing great. I am so fortunate that I have not . I have had a couple of times that I felt aweful but not bad enough to throw up. One thing that disgust me is deli meat, ham, turkey, chicken. I can't identify what the problem is but I put it in my mouth and get nauseous and spit it out. I've tried 2-3 times it is always the same so I'm not going there again for a while. I eat mostly chicken and salad. Also like shrimp and crab. Have a Wonderful Weekend, Dana 260/238.8/207/???

I've had a real hard time with chicken and big pills, especially my calcium. Several days I threw up on just about everything. I haven't thrown up in 2 days, so I'm hoping for the best. Cara

Cara try the calcium chews. They are easier than pills for sure, it is difficult to find a chewable calcium citrate though. Chris

Well Hopefully I can be like you. I've lost 2 pounds in the past 3 weeks. I weighed myself this morning & still nothing. Soo, maybe i'll get a miracle soon. yes, the water is very hard to ge in.

Congrats!!!!! it's always good to hear great triumphs. I'm still baffled as to why eating a little more helps out in the weight loss. Is it because the body needs something to burn. I was told 600 cals is my target a day. But I can barely get there. I tried looking at those lean cuisine meals that just have the protein and veggies to get in more cals. I have to see if it will stay down. I'm so happy for ya gurl!

Dana that is great news. Congrats on your 6 pounds gone forever! I know about trying to up the water intake. I'm having a hard time with that myself. But Just like the protien we have to do it. Have a great weekend Maria
