I will be 5 weeks post op on this coming Monday. I went for my second post-op visit today and am very happy. My highest weight was 440 that I know of, today I am 369.5. I have been going thru ups and downs about getting sick and not being able to eat alot of different foods but seeing the scales makes everything so much better. It is really hard right now because I see alot of my friends by meeting them for dinner or lunch and with not being able to do that right now has taken that enjoyable time away. I am new to this board except for one prior post. A big thank you to those *****plied to that one. I also pretty much have to take a nap everyday, is anyone else doing this? If I go somewhere and walk or do anything really for a couple of hours, as soon as I am home I am on the bed asleep.

Hi, The boards sure are slow tonight. Looks like you are doing really well. I had surgery 2/11/05 and had a slow time of losing. I was barely able to keep any food down for quite some time. Many times I wanted to give up. I get tired after I eat. I do notice I get more tired easier. I used to be a night hawk and now, I am dragging. I've been back to work over 2 1/2 weeks now. I have not been exercising on a formal basis, but I sure am active. Always on the move, I park as far away as I can to get a walk in, I take stairs instead of elevator, etc. Keep in touch, Terri

Hi Michelle, I'm 7 weeks post op. I was 475 a day after coming home from surgery. I'm down to 402 today. I've been getting depressed lately because I haven't been losing for the past 2 weeks it seems. I used to go out with my friends to eat alot too but that has gone away for now. lol I'm scared to try eating in public yet in case I get sick, I'd rather it be at home. I babysit my Grandchildren everyday and by the time the 6 month old goes home I'm tuckered out. lol I do sneak in a nap sometimes when she is napping. It's not like I'm exhausted cause I don't get exercise with these bad knees. Maybe it's my age? lol Your lots younger but then again it hasn't been that long since your surgery. Give it time and you'll be fine. It takes us all different times to heal and get over this. Congratulations on your great weight loss. Take care. Debbie

Michelle, that is sooooo great with the weight loss. Gurl you doing your thang I'ts been 7 weeks for me and I'm still tired. I run a day care out of my home. Dumbly, I got of the hospital on a Sunday and my daycare was open that Monday (I love the kids) There's no such thing for me as "taking it easy" It's never been in my blood (which is why I can't understand how I allowed 306 lbs to creep up. I have found that as the weight is coming off the energy is coming on. I still go to bed earlier now though and I feel "well that's ok" maybe I'm giving my body the rest it's always been asking for. I can't wait til the summer when I read all of us are running around so fast that our kids can't keep up with "US" Take care and all the best to ya! Saida
