I'm feeling pretty bad because I haven't posted on this board at all. I've been spending all of my time on the TX message board. I think I probably need to spend as much time here talking to those who are at the same place I am in this whole process. I went Thursday (3/24) for my 6 week check up and all was good - I'd lost 42 pounds (I'm up to 45 now). However, that night, I took about two bites of my dinner and was in so much pain I thought I was gonna die! My DH called my surgeon and he said if it didn't go away, to go to the ER. Well, I got sick, my BP shot up to 151/109, and the pain stayed. So, we went to the ER where I ended up getting Xrayed, CT Scanned and finally they admitted me so that they could scope me and see if I had a stricture. By the time they finally did the scope on Saturday morning, I was feeling much better (I was also severely dehydrated and my potassium was low). The scope showed that all was OK, so apparently it was just the chicken that had gotten stuck. I got lots of fluides via IV and some yummy potassium to drink, so all is better now. I've just taken it slow and soft for the past two days. Anyway, I'll be visiting here more often and look forward to getting to know some of you. p.s. If anyone else is a sweet tea fanatic like me - Red Diamond makes a tea that is sweetened with Splenda and it's decaf. YUMMY!!!! I think it's gonna make getting my fluids in much easier for me! Welcome to the Feb. board. I'm gonna try that tea you suggested, as I'm finding it difficult to find drinks I like. Glad to hear that you are OK and back on the road to feeling better.

Wendy, hope your feeling better. I also am having trouble getting in my fluids. I haven't send the Red Diamond tea, do you mind sharing where you buy it from. I also don't come hear to often but will be now as I have seen others experiencing and asking some of the same questions I have. Dana

Hi ya Wendy.... nice to meet you. Glad things were okay and that you got the fluids you needed. Congratulations on that weight loss! Doesn't it make you want to ? I have not seen the Red Diamond tea around here....I'll have to look closer though. Is it powder you mix, or liquid?

I don't know if it's a Texas thing - I would think being sweet tea - it would be all over the South! It's actually in gallon jugs - in the refridgerated section by the juices. I get mine at Brookshires grocery store or at Wal-Mart. Wendy

Hi Dana! I've found it at both Brookshires and at Wal-Mart. It's usually by the juices in the refridgerated section. It comes in gallon jugs. It's really good. Hope you find it and enjoy it! Wendy
