Okay...so the festivities are not quite in full swing at my house yet. We are going to my mom's later this afternoon. I have had an Extreme Smoothie Shake this morning....and 1 slice COLD Bacon.....cold is the only way I can eat it. About 10 oz water is all so far....got to fix that.... How's everyone else doing? I woke up late, so I've had one Carb Countdown yogurt and I'm baking crab stuffed mushrooms. Later we're going to meet friends at Jaleo for spanish tapas. Happy Easter! Cara

I had a small amount of chef salad for breakfast, cleaned the house and off to church for us. I was able to eat ham, au gratin potatoes (very small amount), and a cheesy veggie casserole (very small amount). I had lots of fresh brewed iced tea to help in getting my liquids in. I think that I had too many carbs though. I don't feel especially good right now and find it very hard to even stay awake. Anyone else going through this too? I think I am done with eating for the day. Liquids only. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter and enjoyed our new holiday lifestyles! Diana

For Easter dinner, we had steaks. MMM...I was a little worried about how it would go down, because steak is so hard and dense. But I did just fine. I probably ate 1-2 ounces of steak (didn't want to overdo it) along with a few bites of mashed potatoes, some cooked carrots and a few bites of corn on the cob. For dessert (a few hours later), I had a tiny slice of chocolate pudding pie. And I do mean TINY. It used to be my favorite dessert, but it didn't taste as good this time. Didn't exactly make me feel sick, just yucky... I had a bite of dessert when we were out at dinner about a week ago, and it didn't have the same effect. It tasted good and didn't make me feel yucky. You know how it is - different day**** the pouch differently. I'm done with sweets for awhile, though, since they're really just an occasional treat. It was a wonderful Easter, though!

I had boiled chicken, green beans and one bit of sweet potato. Of course I wanted a nice piece of ham, broccoli and mashed potatos but I stuck with my food...for now!!

I can eat the crispy areas of bacon...and if it has been cooked for a while...the fatty part I can't tolerate....and just pick it off.....

Easter dinner for me was on Saturday. Had some turkey, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes and some salt beef. (Newfoundland salt beef) It was all delicious. I really like that I can eat and not be over-stuffed. It allows me to enjoy the energy from the food. I remember looking for a couch after Easter dinner in the past. I am so glad that doesn't happen anymore. Karen G 294 / 232 / ??
