Just thought I would give a tip on not being stupid like me I had to be at work by 9 this morning and didn't look up until 2 needless to say I got so nausiated and sick feeling that I could barely make it home to eat and rest. I have learned my lesson, I WILL EAT BREAKFAST even if it's just a shake (which I haven't been able to gag down yet) I really don't want to feel that way ever again! Just thought I would pass this along, as I wouldn't want you guys to have this happen. Have a great Easter! Sharon 212/189/???

Oh no! I have heard some post-ops say they feel like they need to eat something small every 2-4 hours....so I guess going that long was bad on you. Hope you get to feeling better! Thanks for the tip!

Hey Sharon! It's hard to stay on a schedule like that when there's realy no hunger, isn't it? At least that is the way it is for me. I've experience the nausea when I just kind of forgot to eat in the morning. This morning at work I bought a fruit cup to tide me over. It was fresh strawberries, melon and pineapple. Well, not thinking I ate the pineapple first, and because it was fresh as opposed to canned, it didn't sit well at all! I was running down the hallway like a flash to get to the bathroom! Learned my lesson on that one!! Hope you are feeling much better and enjoy the Easter weekend! Lori Open RNY 2/21/05 242/217/140

I mix my protein shake (pure champion whey chocolate) and then add some crushed ice. I have it first thing in the morning and I look forward to it. I have another in the afternoon as a snack. Most meats taste like cardboard to me so this is my way of getting the protein in. I ordered 10 samples of protein from Vita lady. It was a great way to try them out. I find several that I liked. just had a low carb protein bar instead of my usual scrambled egg - was not a good idea! I'll be better at lunch - some sliced deli chicken with a stick of cheese will sit better. I am finding that if I have a protein shake as a meal, it goes right through me - I'm working on more solid food. It seems to last longer and I don't feel hungry for a longer period of time. one day at a time, thats for sure! 257/230 - on my way! Pat

I'm curious as to why the protein bar was not a good idea. I am still pre-op and was planning on protein bars and shakes. Hmmmm - should I re-think this?? Judy (whoissoclosetoherwlsshecansmellit)
