HI all!! Im new to the Feb board! I had my surgery on 2/7/05 and have lost about 50lbs so far!! at the beginning it was so hard to et or drink but its getting so much better. I drink so much water that I have to stop before going to bed or else I will be up a few times during the night!! ;) LOL I have been trying different foods....even had some chicken last night. I live on cheese, yogurt, protein shakes and peanut butter!! I bought the Whey Protein - unflavored and a smoothie machine and have been making myself smoothies of a banana, few almonds and protein powder. the whole shake...which takes me like 1.5 hours, has 34 gms of protein!! and it tastes sooooooooooo good!! One thing that I found really makes me sick is ground turkey!!! I have had it many times and each time I dumped!arghhhhhhhhhhh...not nice at all!! So I had tried chicken (boneless, skinless thighs) and they are good!! I would love to share with everyone their experiences!! Lisa 370 (start)/341 (pre-op)/293/150

I just discovered the Feb board today. Happy Easter! I had my surgery Feb 7, just had my 6 week check-up on Friday and was down 40lbs. Yeah! I just can't believe how it seems to just "fall off" I have had a really easy time recovering overall, and am very thankful for that. I feel great and have lots of energy, just am careful about what I eat. Friday was given permission to eat anything except Steak, bread, and rice. I can live with that. I went out for dinner last night with my husband and some friends and had salad! It was great and I had no problems with it. Another exciting moment!

Hi, Lori!! Haven't been here in a little while, I guess. I had my surgery on 2/28, and am down 24 lbs in one month. Everything has been going very smoothly with me, I have been advancing my eating as instructed and find that I can eat everything (except the things I've been told not to try - beef, untoasted bread, etc). I feel great and am glad to read that so many others are feeling great, too!! Sara 277/253/140

Hi Lori I totally agree with you and everyone else that posted. I didn't even know this board was still around. I'm so happy everyone wants to keep in touch. SO I'm with you on this one. I'll make stop overs to see how my friends are doing with their weight lost. As for me I'm happy to say 7 wks post op and under 34lbs. Talk to you all soon Maria

I am new at this web site, It is so good to hear others report how well they are doing. And to see that I am on track with most of you. I had my surgery Feb 25th (5wks) and have lost 35 lbs. I have not been sick once. But I have followed the Dr.'s instructions to the tee. (Scared not to) I am having problems getting enough water, but that is getting better. The surgery was not to difficult I only had one bad day. I am having some problems with wanting what I can't have. (foot long coney ) but I am working through it. It to is getting better. I am still eating puree only but that will change next week. At this time I can only eat about 3 or 4 oz before I am full. Is this about the amount you can eat? I will check this site more often. I enjoy hearing your accounts. Bev
