Surgery on 02-27-05. New to site.

Hello new family! I had my surgery on 02-07-05. I was so nervous and scared, but am doing much better now. I had some complications with a blockage in my intestines, which made me very sick. All is well now, just healing up and getting ready to go back to work. So far, I'm down about 40 lbs, and for the first time in years, I'm actually looking forward to the summer. Hi Lori, You know, I feel the same way about the pounds gone. It's wonderful to realize when your clothes are too big, that you'll never wear them again. I'm so excited about that! I spent the whole day going through old clothes I haven't worn in years. I've been washing and trying things on. My closet is packed with things I can wear again. It's wonderful, and I'm only down 40 pounds! Pretty soon I'll have to buy new clothes... oh, my poor husband! hehehe... Paula Open RNY 02-07-05 290/250/140

Welcome Paula! So nice to have you join us! It sounds like you have a great attitude about overcoming any hurdles that may come along, that's awesome! Way to go on the 40 pounds, what a wonderful accomplishment! I'm looking forward to summer, too. We have had a pool for a few years now, and we are finally going to put up a big deck and possibly a hot tub! Now that is something to look forward to! Have a beautiful Easter weekend! Hi Lori, Wow, the pool sounds great! We don't have one of our own. I wish we did. But, we have a membership at the YMCA, so we can go there.
