Shaaron, I can relate. I've had trouble also, today is the first day I've gotten in over 50 oz. My bariatric nurse said to just continue trying. Are you drinking any other liquids besides water. Maybe crystal light or tea will help if your surgeon allows you to have those. Keep trying, it will get better. Dana

I have to admit... I haven't gotten all my water in on any day. I drink as much as I can and try to find alternate ways to get fluids in, but I know that I never get up to 64 oz. in a day. You know what, though? Doctors always say you should drink 64 oz. of water a day, but *****ally does? All I can say is that I try to drink as much as I can, but I don't sweat it if I don't drink as much as they tell me to. Maybe that isn't the way to do it, but it is the best I can do. Does this make me a bad influence?

If you look at all the ounces you need to get in, it seems like a lot. Try drinking 1/2 cup an hour. If you take little sips throughout the hour, it makes it easier. If you do that for most of the hours you are awake, you'll be getting in 60 oz at least. Jeanie

I find it easier to drink the hot stuff. Maybe try some decaf tea or chamomile. I had a hard time until i started drinking tea.

hi sharon i'm sorry to have to say this, but my worry was the exact opposite. i thought i was taking in too many liquids. i have been drinking water, tea, broth, sf hot chocolate, sf jello & sf popsicles. my issue is this - i always drink fluids so i have a tough time stopping long enough to eat something and then after i've eaten i have a hard time not drinking for an hour. just keep trying, sharon. i know that's what i have to do. good luck and have a great easter dorthe

I've been having the same problem, but you guys have given me a whole lot of ideas to get more liquids in. My nutrionist said the coffee did not have to be decaffinated. Jello is considered liquid too. I like V8 juice.

Sugar free fudgsicles!! Man I love those things. Much better than plain water. Add a few of those in a day. Stephanie
