Hi Everybody, I want to thank all who posted a prayer for me doing my time of surgery which was 2-16-05...prayer works!! I had very little pain..didn't throw up not once and have been able to keep all lidquids and food that I am allowed to eat down. My concern is that I have lost only 15lbs since my surgery..I am reading on the post that others have lost 20-,25 or 30lbs..any suggestions on what I could be doing that I am not? I'm doing my protein, my water and a little walking. I'm quite fustrated to say the least!!! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks Mel

Hi Mel, How much are you eating? How often? How many calories? Did the 15 come off all at once or in small pieces? Cara RNY 2/15/2005 341/310

Hi Mel, I was told to really concentrate on drinking my fluids and protein. I also have incorporated walking 2 miles a day (more if I can) and it has made a difference. I drink about 80ozs of water and 56g of protein. remember to drink, drink and walk, walk. Good Luck sweetie, Brigitte

Mel, don't feel discouraged. You are a "light weight" compared to some others and depending on how much each needs to lose will impact how quick you also lose. I didn't lose a lb. last week and was quite frustrated but I'm upping my water and being more diligent in exercising and know that this will kick start the process. We can't do much to interfer with the weight loss the first 3 months, just take it in stride and follow the rules of the pouch. You are doing great! Dana
