I'm usually pretty good with that whole mind over matter thing but the puree junk has got me beat. Today was the start of it and the end of it. I just sat there looking at it and then I took a bite and deceided since I'm home for the next 2 weeks, I have nothing but time on my hands and I'll just chew for a long time cause eating that stuff wasn't working. I'm trying to make light of this cause I usually do as I'm told but this I just can't do.

Hi Temeka I am right there with u. I think I did the pureed thing for about a week. I couldn't take it, just looking at that mush made me want to . I've chewed, chewed, and chewed some more and everything went down fine. I'm not encouraging anyone else to do that, but this is what worked for me. Keeping Faith, Aisha 215/198/???

Its all about finding the right foods. My favorites were Gerber Oatmeal with Apples & bananas, baby food fruits in small amounts, refried beans w/ small amount of cheese, split pea soup. Avocado is my all time favorite. I ate other things like noodle-less lasagna, egg beaters in omlete form, cottage cheese, and yogurt. I know a lot of people don't like the consistancy, I even had a few problems with that too on some stuff I ate. I had to really use my imagination when that happened. I hope it gets easier for you.

Temeka, I like the pureed stuff. I have used the food processor to make tuna salad, chicken salad, hamburger patty and then melted the cheese over it, ham, sausage and then mixed with gravy, and last night (even though I have been cautioned) steak! I ate it with A-1 Yummy! I am afraid to NOT use the processor. I have found to not liquify it, just no big chunks. The idea is to not swallow anything that may hang up in there. Hope this helps! Deb

Yuck, I know what you mean, the puree thing just grossed me out. I did what alot of others did, just chew chew chew. I mean meat tasted like cardboard once I was done working on it. Don't really like meat anymore is what I found, but I take it in for the protein! I also found that I NOW like...no LOVE fish! So it's a good thing. I haven't had problems with anything I eat. I've had meats, seafood, even crackers with no problem. But again, it takes me nearly an hour to finish a fist size chicken breast...if even that big.
