Just got back from first post-op visit.....

I am 10 days post-op today....and went for my first post op visit...and am down 18 pounds! I am so excited....but kinda confused....where did I loose it from? I can't tell hardly any difference yet......but at least its GONE!

i also lost 18 labs on my first apt....good job!!!! im 3 weeks and a bit and down 28 lbs...its a crazy ride eh! i can tell now! then i could not, but others sure could! good luck with you loss! kate

I'm so bummed - I had only lost 10 lbs at my first post-op visit, and when I weighed today I've gained a pound! From what? I'm certainly not overeating!

Hey Lynne Don't get discouraged. I only lost 16lbs my first month. I'm into my second month now and doing a lot more moving and really focusing on my water and protein. Hang in there and don't give up!!!

Don't feel bad!!! I went for my post-op a week after surgery and had gained 10 pounds, however, my Dr. assured me that this was due to fluids, I have CHF and have to take diaretics. Within 5 days, after taking my diaretics, I had lost 20 pounds (not counting the additional 10). WOW!! Good Luck and don't worry, it will come off.

I know how you feel. I had my 2 week post-op 5 days ago and I had the same issues. I wanted to cry. And then had a 2 hr and 45 min. drive home to think about how much of a failure I felt like. I'm hanging in there thou. I know it's going to happen. Good Luck Temeka

Hi Lori, That's great! I had my first post-op visit after 1 month and I was amazed that I had lost 28 pounds in 26 days!! I can't really see the difference, but I feel it in my clothing. Keep up the good work!!! Barbara RNY 02/08/05
