feeling really good except...
My dr. said that this is the case when you are eating soft foods like soup and protein shakes. If this is the case with solid foods, call your dr. and ask if you should be concerned. Perhaps, try eating a little slower and see if you feel fuller with less. I also seem to be able to take in more, and have just tried to limit myself by portion size, even if I'm not totally full.
Best wishes,
Cara W.
Super soft foods (soups, etc) kind of go right through.
Also, it takes a long time for the pouch to start sending you hungry and full signals - everything was cut through and/or disturbed during surgery, so the nerve endings are not really functioning right now.
The wisdom around OH seems to be pretty consistent: if you're supposed to be on 4oz. stop at 4oz. even if you "could" fit more... your pouch could get overfull without necessarily letting you know about it.
I had surgery on the same day! I wish I had more loss already...I hate to admit it but I feel a little impatient with it!! LOL I'm down 25 lbs. but sure wi**** was more. (OK, I'm greedy )

I also noticed that I could eat more than 4 oz. and was concerned. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm still on full liquids, whi*****ludes yogurt. I could eat the the entire 6 oz. cup, but I now only eat about half of it and save the rest for another meal. My daughter told me that if I lived by myself my food bill would be next to nothing. It takes me almost a week to go through a can of soup or an instant package of oatmeal.
Since surgery, I am always thirsty. I can't leave the house without a bottle of water or Crystal Lite (usually both).

I had Lap RNY on 2/22, so I'm about 3 1/2 weeks post-op. I usually have the full amount of yogurt, but it takes me about 2 hours to eat it. The same thing with my protein drinks. Right now, I'm only getting about 600 calories a day, so I'm not too concerned about it. My main concern is getting all my protein in and getting all my water in.
