Tape??removal???

ok dumb question!!! you know how they put tape on your stomack..... you know when the take comes off!??????? you know that gross, sticky, crud stuff that is left behind!!!! how do you get it off of your your belly????? Katie

Ok, This is totally NOT a dumb question! Since I had the same one! LOL But...Baby Oil worked for me. Some people say fingernail polish remover, but you have to rub it a little & it felt much better to be rubbing baby oil then fingernail polish remover. I just got rid of mine last night. Talk to your surgeon about ideas that are safe for your new incicions. Mine just told me today that I can take mine off and suggested that it would be easier to do in the shower. Im not sure about the sticky stuff, mine comes off with a little soap and water just not all at once. Good luck.

For the tape to hold the bandages on I just used Isopropol Alchohol with cotton swabs, careful not to get near the incisions. It took a couple of applications over a couple of days, but it all eventually came off. John

Hi Katie, I have these "tape marks" a lot (from infusing myself with clotting factor and from my HRT patches!). Lotion works well. Also in the shower, conditioner. HTH. Hugs, Susi
