It gurgles a lot and kind of sits in my throat a second before it goes into my stomach and then feels ok. The dr said I had some narrowing of my esophagus before the opening of the pouch, so it takes a while for things to get in. It helps me to do some dry swallows between bites. There is a sense of light pressure on my chest after I have eaten something, even with pills. But it doesn't hurt. Are you feeling ok? Cara W.

At least for me, eating feels the same going down, not much difference unless I eat too fast, or I eat too much at once, then I feel pressure in my lower stomach, if it is really bad that pressure radiates up to my chest. (Same for drinking, but for some reason drinking is worse than eating for me. Must be that I am so used to gulping that sipping mentally doesn't satisfy me.) Scrambled Eggs yesterday didn't seem to agree with me though, and that felt like it got caught which felt like a gut-ache, and pressure in my esophogus. While it did go through, I had the gut-ache all day so I'm going to avoid the eggs for a while before trying them again. Thankfully I haven't vomited yet, and this is the closest I came to it. John

I would have to go along with the gurgle! My stomach makes noises I have never heard before.

I think it is different for men and women.. Mine feels normal if I eat slow and make sure I do not over eat. I have overate a couple times and I have drank too early after eating and boy is it miserable... I have thrown up twice and just dealt with it the other times. It feels very bad, like you ate so much it is filling up all the way to your throat. The reason I threw up one time is cause I could not handle the miserable feeling so I made myself throw up, it didn't take much to make myself iether. The worst part is the chunks of food that get stuck in yer throat while throwing up, that makes it worse. I say just take your time eating, take small bites and chew it very very good. Measure up about 2 oz of food and if it isnt enough try a little bite at a time more. To be safe, wait like a minute or two after each bite... Everyone IS different though so it is hard to give great advice.... Jason
