Home from surgery

Had surgery on the 15th, and was home on the 17th. So far so good, have lost 20 pounds already. I have a probelm with smell's. Smelling things make me a little sick at my stomach. Is that normal? will it go away? Hope all that have had surgey is doing great................ .............................. ............................................Donna...........

Had surgery on the 14th and was home on the 16th. Smell changes ARE normal and they do go away (folks range from 1-12 weeks). I have problem LOOKING at most food now (the TV food ads just look so gross!), but my dad cooked my hubby this wonderful Spanish chicken with burgandy, olives and roasted red pepper and it smelled like HEAVEN! I just leaned over the pot and inhaled. Can even handle the smell of hubby's coffee. Taste also changes for some (same timeframe for it to go back to "normal"). I used to love LF cottage cheese w/ pineapple; now all I can taste is the salt, blech! But FF milk and lo-carb yogurt is absolutely delicious. I really appreciate the clean, fresh taste of food now, without all the bad, unhealthy fat, etc. in the way. And I've been blessed with no cravings. Good luck!
