Hi all, Just got home from my all day trip to Denver for my post-op appointment. I'm two weeks out and I've released 31 pounds and my BMI went from 56 to 51. I didn't know things could move so quickly. Guess I'm ready for the 'pureed' foods now. I'm still feeling very sluggish and wiped out. Anyone else two weeks out and just 'exhausted' or is it just me?

I'm about 2 weeks out. My date was 2/1. - I'm down 19 lbs now, and I'm satisfied with that so far.. My BMI started much lower than yours. But yes, I do feel sluggish when I don' follow my same routine. So now, I try to take the vitamins, & iron,etc... at a routine time and it helps me stay up and revived.

I talked with my doctor on Thursday and he doesn't want me to take anything except the children's chewable sugar free vitamins. Nothing else yet. I did talk him into giving me a B12 shot which has helped a little bit, but I'm still so bushed! I've always taken good supplements and this is really bothering me that he doesn't want me to take any. I think this may be the one thing that I will go against his directions if I don't feel better soon. Glad you're doing better, take care and good luck.

Meta, I've been following you because I too am 2 weeks out. I've lost 21 lbs at my Dr. appt last Monday and haven't weighed myself since. GOOD JOB GIRL!!! Oh yeah, I'm fine until about 4:00 pm and then I feel like someone let the oil out of the engine! Then I get so tired, but I don't want to take naps anymore. I'm going back to work on the 1st and I need to be up and going. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get rid of the droops I'm all ears. I had an easier time of the surgery than you did, but our droops are just the same. Sucks huh!--Pat

Hey Pat, I guess I'm a study in weird hey? Congrats on your lose too! Can you believe it goes so quickly? Sorry you have to go back to work. I'm on disability and have been since '99 so I don't have that problem. I do help out a friend once in a while at his real estate office and I did go in to the office twice this week for a couple of hours just to get out of the house!!! My boys were driving me crazy, hovering over me, etc. I love naps, but they are getting old. I never thought I'd hear myself say that about naps though. Anyhow, keep up the good work yourself and good luck going back to work. -- Meta

hi ladies- Great job on the weightloss!!! I am not as far out as the two of you, but I have been told by some folks on an online support group I'm in thta the sluggishness (which I am also suffering from) can be from not getting in enough protein. What are you all doing to get in your protein?? I WAS doing a protein supplement recipe my doc gave me but I think I'm going to start protein shakes and maybe this isopure water I've heard about that has like 40 grams of protein.

Isopure is at GNC it does have 40 grams of protein for the 20 oz bottle. the blue rasberry tastes somewhat like tart kool aid. and just to let you know it can smetimes leave a fuzzy feeling on your tongue, but much better than the thick protein drinks . good luck.
