I was laying on the gurney. They were just about to start the IV. I coughed a couple of times and the anesthesiologist halted it! This is the third postponement. I have to go see my pulmonary specialist later today to try to knock this cough down, once and for all! I hate roller coasters! Psyching myself up just to get it knocked out from under me for the third time is getting very old.

awwww man Greg that is awful, I was worried too because a few days before I started feeling like I could get a cold and my nose started running. I made it though I had my surgery on the 10th. I'm so sorry... You will get there, keep your chin up. tara

Greg, I am so sorry to hear that your surgery was postponed again. I can't imagine how upsetting it must be. Hoping you get rid of that cough and get back on that gurney real soon. Bette Biddle-Bruno

Thanks, Bette. Good luck on Friday, hon! My pulmonary specialist (Dr. Lugano) has me on a three-way, high-dosage run of steroids (prednesone, advair and flonase) with the hopes that I can be rescheduled in 2 weeks. I'll keep everybody updated.

Oh Greg, I'm so sorry. I had pneumonia 3 weeks before hand and still had a little cough, but they thought it was a GOOD thing as it would help me cough out the anesthesia afterward. You hang in there. I hate rollercoasters as well, but it feels so good when the ride is over!!! Your ride WILL be over soon.--Pat
