Post Op, Thank you & Yowie migraines
Had surgery 2/10, uneventful EXCEPT I sure wish there were some way to "wake up" a bit slower; I was in a full fledged panic attack when I woke up in the recovery room and wasn't very happy with the staff attitude about it, especially since I had told everyone BEFORE surgery that I was prone to those awful things. Over the next two days, pain was much less severe over all than I expected but I did have a wierd side affect that we didn't forsee-I had raging out of control migraines, MUCH worse than any surgery, and there just didn't seem to be any answer until my wonderful (G.P.) doctor thought of caffeine withdrawl. Sure enough that was the culprit, and now I am on caffeine suppliment along with vitamins. DO NOT try this without Dr's advice; it's usual for WLS folks to be forbidden to have any caffeine so please do not self medicate! Migraines now gone, no belly pain and just getting in the "groove" of teeny portions and going slow. THANK you to all who sent such wonderful notes of encouragement and love before my surgery; they meant the world to me!
