I'm done and home in less than 24 hours

Hi February people: I had lap RNY Friday 2/4 at 10:30 (they took me early) and by 5 PM was up walking, taking sips of water and feeling fine. When Dr. Graber came in Sat am and told me I could go home I was amazed. I called my husband at 7 am, woke him up and told him I could go home that morning. He called me back to make sure he wasn't dreaming. I have no pain, taking all my intake fine, getting around fine and can't believe it is finally over. I know I still have lots of hard work ahead of me, but I'm on the losing side. I was a little afraid to start eating my yogurt, pudding, potatoes, etc. but everything went down fine. Congratulations and how wonderful for you for things to have gone so smoothly. I am having surgery today-can't believe it- and have hopes that all will go as smoothly as yours did, so as I read your post, it was very encouraging. Way to Go! Take care and continued success! Chris

Lucky you! I'm having RNY this Thursday and my Doc say's I won't go home until Sunday Although I'll beg him to go home sooner if all is okay.....BUT,I hear that he is fairly strict. Wish me luck and congrats to you!!!!! Liz/Las Vegas

Hey Linda- I had surgery on the 2nd with similar results. They told me I was a model patient. I've always wanted to be a model... I'm not on soft stuff yet, they make us wait a whole week, but tomorrow is the big day for yogurt and pudding. I can hardly wait. Have had a bit of head hunger. What about you? Are you out walking?
