Taking to hospital: Nightgown and robe (wish I could wear PJ's but will have a catheter.) Slippers for walking around Toiletries (toothbrush, hairbrush, etc) Flushable Wipes Reading A gift for each of my 2 kids Markers for them to use when they visit Measuring cup - the kind that comes with medicine... they might provide it in the hospital, but just in case, thought I'd throw one in so I can see my 1-oz. at a time in water rather than guessing. Last, a little bit of cash in case they need a deposit for the TV or phone and no one is around when they come to turn it on. Will have ready at home: Broth, chicken and beef s/f jello, pudding, and popsicles Tasteless protein powder Several single srv samples of protein drinks All vitamins, supplements Cream of Wheat Yogurt Cream soups Food Processor Decaf Coffee!!!! (have to learn to love decaf) Tea Lemons Water, water bottle for sipping I'll be on clear liquids 1 week, full liquids 1 week, pureed 2 weeks, moving to soft foods and later foods as tolerated. Since there's not much selection in the clear liquid stage I don't have to have too much at home stocked up yet... but definitely protein powder!! And since I'm having laparoscopic, I'll easily be able to get to the store by the time I'm on full liquids. YIKES is right!!!! Mostly in a good way, LOL! Marie T minus 8 days!

Don't forget the chapstick. You will be so dry when you come out of surgery. It helps wonders.
