I FINALLY GOT MY DATE!!!!

Hello everyone: I am kind of new to the message board but I just wanted everyone to know that I finally got my date. It is 2/10/2005 at 1pm at St David's Hospital in Austin! I can't believe that they finally set the date. I had a date for Dec 30th but the anes. cancelled it because my thyroid was too high. In all my testing no one caught it until the day before surgery. Talk about a let-down. But I went to my PCP and he started me on medication. On 1/13/05 I had another blood test done and it had gone down quiet a bit but not enough. So on 1/25/05 I had another blood test and was deemed ready to go. I went to see Dr Nancy Marquez on the 26th and Karen called me this morning and told me the 10th!! I was so excited I was jumping around laughing and crying at the same time. My poor puupy(rat terrier) thought I had lost my mind!!She jumped and licked me! It was a funny sight. Now the countdown begings....I am ready to get on the losing side of this. I am on a very strict diet and am determined to show everyone how truly committed I am... Hugs! Melinda
