Hi Jennifer! My surgery (LAP RNY) is scheduled for Feb. 3rd (that is if we get the insurance approval by then!) in Dallas, TX. I swing back and forth between being excited and scared out of my wits, but I know it's the right thing for me. Good luck to you and to everyone else on this thread! Vicki

Hi Everyone: I am going to become a bandster on Feb.2 in Grand Rapids.Mi. My birthday is on the 4th. I am so excited. This is going to be the best birthday gift I can give to myself!!! My surgery is scheduled for Feb 2nd in Colorado Springs with Dr Fedorak. I am excited but at the same time a little nervous. I have been told I will be in the hospital for a week as I am a high risk patient, but a year from now I plan on being "half the person I am now" weight wise that is. It will most likely be an open RNY, but that is ok. Good luck to everybody and let's all keep in touch. Patti

Hi Jenny, I am having surgery on February 3, at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas Nevada. I would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers during this time. January 27 will be one week away from the big day. I have wonderful things about my surgeon and I have a direct line to the Man upstairs so I put it all in the Hands of My Lord and surgeon. Hey everyone, Jennifer this was a great ideal.. It started getting hard to seperate the dates of surgerys on here!!! My re-birth is Feb 1,05 in Ensenada, Mexico with Dr.Aguirre.. Hi Jenny, Its C. Goldie home for the hosp. eveything went well! Dr.Vohra, Staff everyone great! My husband is great he is doing oh so many things for me, Even though I can do most myself but oh the luxury. To all who havent gone yet to me the waiting was the worst schuleded for 1 didnt go in till I think 4 was there since 11am. But thats all in the past, the Doc's got to do what the Doc's got to . He had to stay longer with the patient before me and thats what makes us patients, LOL I found the hardest part was the next day they made me go to therpy what that meant is I had to lay down on my side roll over on my back and then get up, well did I give them an earfull lol they knew it was coming because of all the people that come thru there, we all had a good laugh after and when I got back to my room it was time for the pain meds and then I forgot all about it.
