Well, I was offered Valentine's Day as my surgery day and I sure wasn't going to say no! What a way to give myself a gift of love and how much more special that day will be years down the road!! I will hopefully be coming home on my boyfriend's birthday too. We'll be celebrating both days this weekend! Got a $50 gift card to Olive Garden and I sure won't be able to spend that much money post-op so we're going now! I'm still on cloud 9... starting to get a little nervous too (I just found out on Friday about surgery date/approval). Wishing you all well and keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers! This is a very nice idea. Thank you for doing this! February 11th for me. I'm having a duodenal switch in Omaha, Nebraska. We should be back home around Feb 17th. I think there is web access at the hospital. Jeanie in MO

Hey, thanks for starting this thread! Just got the word today, I'm APPROVED!! My surgery is scheduled for Feb. 9th. Was scheduled before, but didn't want to post it until I knew for sure I'd be approved by insurance!! I can barely sit still, I'm so excited! YAY for all of us, starting our "new lives". Marie

Yea! I found out yesterday that I've been approved for surgery on Friday, Feb. 11th! I'm starting my pre-op diet today so I'll be ready!!! Good luck to all of us February banders!

Hi everyone, I got my date for Feb. 14 and when they asked if that was OK I replyed Happy Valentines Day to ME of course it is ok......I am so excited...it gives me an extra way to celebrate Valentine's day every year now (my anniversery date to a New me...... p.s. can anyone tell me how to get my picture on my posts thanks Dawn

Hey Dawn - send an email to [email protected] and attach the photo you want to show up next to your name in the posts. Tell them it's for the message boards. The picture should be a .jpg or a .gif. They will crop it and make it the right size. Hope that helps! Jenny
