Surgery dates Feb 8-14 post here!

I thought it might be fun and helpful if we sort of group ourselves according to surgery date. Then we can more easily check up on each other! If you are having surgery between February 8 and February 14, tell us here, and use this thread to keep us up to date!

Hi, I'm now scheduled for Feb 10th. I was originally scheduled for 1/27, but there was a paperwork mix up (I'm being kind) and now I'm ready to go for the 10th. They asked if I would like to wait until the following week so I could enjoy Valentine's Day and I said... I WILL ENJOY VALENTINE'S DAY... just as a post op!! Woohoo!! I told DH he could buy me SF popsicles and flowers (or jewelery!) Yippee to all of us!! Hugs, Susi

I got my date today, I'll be starting the first day of the rest of my life Thursday 2/10/05! I can't wait! John

Yea John! Can you believe we are so close? What did they find out about the mass on your liver? I didn't see in your profile where you got the results. Looking forward to being LOSERS together! Hugs, Susi

The mass on my liver appears to be just a large fat deposit, and I officialy have "Fatty Liver". What the nurse told me was that all that this means is that they just have to be extra careful when they do the surgery because "fatty liver" livers are more tender than normal ones.

When one of my Docs looked at my ultrasound pics he said I might have a fatty liver. Oh gee, what a surprise THAT would be, LOL. Actually, they are doing a study at the hospital I'll be at, so at the time of surgery they will do a liver biopsy so I'll know for sure. Is your Doc going to do one? You might ask, they'll be in there anyway and it would be a good thing to know. Hugs, Susi

He hasn't mentioned anything about doing a biopsy since I don't have any pain symptoms or any other signs of problems. But I will ask about it John

YAY me!!! I got the word today...surgery is scheduled for 02/10/05. My next date to choose from was Valentine's Day. I opted for the 10th so I could be more with it on Valentine's Day when I get my presents HA HA. Congratulations everyone!!! Just think, we'll look sexy next Valenetine's Day!! Stephanie
