I also have a date....1 Feb 05 is the beginning of my new life

I'm so excited but nervous too!!!!! I've had numerous surgeries in my life, as a matter of fact 3 of them were laperoscopies, but for some reason since this is not something the doctor said you need this done or else...I feel like I'm taking my life in my own hands. So I have reservations but I'm being brave and going for it. I would really appreciate it if somebody would adopt me and "hold my hand" and tell me all about it since I don't have any friends who have had it done. I'm having the gastric bypass RNY and am scared ----less (I'd insert a choice word here, but don't want to offend anyone's sensibilities).

Hi Joanne, Congradulations on your surgery date. I am having surgery on Feb 1st, but in Mexico. Just keep reading all the post on obesity.com and they will help you get through the long wait. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. 1 Feb seems like 1 year away when we only have... what 27? 28? days left. I'm off to the gym to get some peace of mind. Maybe I'll be too tired to freak myself out (something I have developed a formidable knack for these days). Sooo...good luck to you too. Mexico, wow!!! I speak Spanish, lets trade...unless you don't know German...then I guess I might as well stay closer to home and you closer to yours. LOL see? I'm goofy already. Well let me run.
