Surgery on 2/9/05! :)

Finally, I will be having surgery in just a little over four months. That seems like a long time, but when I consider just how long I have been trying and trying and trying to have this surgery.....it is not long at all. I was denied coverage by insurance three times and fought it. I didn't win. I scheduled a date for October of 04 but had to cancel because the money I had lined up fell through. Now, FINALLY, I have a for sure, gonna happen date!!! I would love to talk to other's who are having surgery in February or sometime around me. I am flying to Ensenada, MX to have surgery with Dr. Aguirre. I feel very very comfortable with this decision as I tried everything possible to get the surgery paid for through insurance here. Anyone else out there wanting to talk? Thanks, Tamara

I know exactly how you feel. I've been waiting since April 04 for a surgery date. Now I finally have one!!!! I'm happy. I guess I will be happier when the date gets closer. Four months seems so far away. Ive got plenty of emotions right now. Nervous and somewhat apprehensive. I have left everything in God's hands, but, I am still nervous. Looking forward to hearing from all who are having surgery in February 05! Happy 2bme

Congrats!!! my surgery finally after waiting over a couple years is finally set for the 8th of feb and I am so excited that I think I am going to burst!!!

Congratulations on getting a surgery date. My surgery is scheduled for 2/7/05. I originally had a date of 12/27 but I rescheduled because my family was so concerned. I want to show them that I am not rushing into things. I have been looking to this surgery for over 2 yrs and just recently decided to go through with it last month after talking to a few girls that have had it done. We should all keep in touch since our dates are right around the same time. Are you going to NM because Dr.Aguirre does the surgery at a cheaper rate then in the states? I was wondering because I noticed alot of people that got turned down by insurance are going through him. Everyone I have read of that went to him had a good experience. I am going through Dr. Carl Pesta in Warren, Michigan. I am very nervous but excited. I have to make sure I have money in the bank for 2 mths off before I go. I am a single mom and I own a home. I was just on strike at work for 6 weeks and I am still tying to catch up on bills. Write me if you have time. Stephanie

Hi Tamara I am also having surgery with Dr. Aguirre!! I will have my surgery on 2-1-05 and leave on the 9th.. Thinking about driving there from Arizona, but want to talk to more people about there experiences before I do. Hope to see you there. GerrAnn

So happy for you. I was on Kaiser's list for 1 1/2 years. I can't believe it's really going to happen my date is 2/8/04. Good luck to you.........
